Brad Parker – Grounds Manager

Brad brings strengths in strategic thinking to both operations and future improvement works for grounds maintenance projects. Key to his ability to ensure successful delivery is his ability to interact with key stakeholders, proactive approach, as well as an intuitive understanding of what is necessary to deliver core requirements. Brad has a customer-focused approach to delivery, is highly engaged with his staff and has an excellent ability to motivate. Brad’s responsibilities include proactive improvement recommendations, ensuring effective operations and managing contract reporting and implementation of annual servicing plans functions. Prior to joining Sterling, Brad managed projects ranging from $1 million -$4.5 million including remote civil projects for the NT Department of Infrastructure.

Warwick Southwood – Landscape Manager

Warwick is a highly experienced day to day operational manager with extensive experience in OHS compliance, including accreditation processes. He holds a Cert. III in Civil Construction, a Cert. III in Civil Construction Plant Operations and is currently enrolled in Cert. IV in Horticulture Course at the Charles Darwin University. Warwick brings a unique set of people management skills and client relations, providing clients with a one-stop-shop for all their requirements and concerns, while ensuring everything is addressed promptly. Warwick brings more than 10 years of landscaping and grounds maintenance experience to Sterling, including a prior role as Project Manager for Gimbells Landscaping Pty Ltd, one of Darwin’s largest and oldest landscaping garden maintenance companies.

Dan Sayer – Grounds Area Manager

Dan recently joined Sterling with a storied background in landscape construction and maintenance in the Sunshine Coast. Dan owned his own business for over a decade where he was responsible for the construction and maintenance of many beautiful and pristine landscapes such as the Great Northern Garden of Remembrance - he also holds a Diploma in Horticulture from the University of Queensland. Dan’s avid interest and passion for turf management will ensure projects receive a holistic level of care, managing the overall health of turf through effective control of best practice mowing, watering, fertilising and renovation works. With his knowledge and experience, we will ensure every plant at every site is maintained in a manner that best suits it, with correct use of herbicides to ensure optimal weed control.

Lisa Fuller – Grounds Area Manager

Lisa joined Sterling in 2013 as a landscape hand in our Landscapes division. She has since shown incredible tenacity, intelligence, work ethic, attitude and joie de vie. Lisa was recently promoted to Area Manager of our Darwin works because of these attributes, as well as her ability to
liaise and manage our growing cohort of grounds employees effectively and respectfully. Lisa’s promotion to a field and position where women are tremendously underrepresented, is a testament to her talents, and exemplifies our commitment to equal representation in all fields and the recognition of the changing dynamics of our industry.

Kane Rogers – Grounds Area Manager

Kane is a Sterling success story, joining us 5 years ago as an apprentice front deck operator following a decision to try something new. Through his absolute dedication, consistency and hard work he climbed through the ranks from operator to leading hand to supervisor to area manager. The growth of Kane’s responsibilities, skills and capabilities has been inspiring to all at Sterling and embodies our commitment to the development and betterment of our own staff and our policy of promoting from within. Through 5 years of working 6 days a week, Kane has developed an extensive knowledge and experience base of all aspects of grounds maintenance. He is now able to manage and estimate time for tasks, while completely understanding the challenges and pitfalls facing our team every day.

Theresa Tinio – Administration Manager

Theresa joins Sterling NT with Masters qualifications from Charles Darwin University in Accounting. Theresa’s fastidiousness and customer service will ensure that all invoices and correspondence will remain transparent and simple, providing everything required in the most straightforward and simple manner to assist us and you.

Kamal Ali, – Director

Kamal brings to his role extensive knowledge and proven management and operational skills within the construction and maintenance industry. He adds value to the management team with his well-developed customer service skills and ability to work effectively in motivating his team to achieve optimum results. Kamal’s involvement with managing and servicing our multitude of contracts across the top end demonstrates his performance with contracts, liaising closely with all levels of our clients’ management to ensure our level of high quality
services is continuously maintained. Kamal holds Graduate Qualifications with Honours in Business Administration and Finance. Before joining Sterling NT he was a member of the graduate program at Macquarie Bank in Perth.
